Chris Robertson Running Bio
Chris competes for DWRunning in races ranging from one mile to the marathon. He competes nationally in cross country, road, and track races, as well as globally in the Beer Mile. Chris holds the American Record for the Beer Mile (#2 in the world all time) with a time of 4:37 and has won two beer mile world titles (2017 and 2020). He is also the Beer 2-Mile World Record Holder with a time of 10:18.
Chris was introduced to the sport of running at a young age by his father and began competing in local Iowa races in elementary school. Starting his freshman year of high school, Chris decided to forgo soccer and basketball in favor of focusing on cross country and track. He has focused on mastering the art of running ever since.
Chris attended Iowa State University where he competed for and was the President of the Iowa State Running Club. Prior to his move to Chicago in 2015, Chris also competed for Runablaze Iowa.
Beer Mile American Record - 4:37
Chris ran a 4:37 beer mile on September 26, 2020 to break his previous American record (4:38) by a second. His 4:37 was 4 seconds shy of the world record (4:33).
Beer 2-Mile World Record - 10:18
Chris ran a 10:18 Beer 2-Mile September 14, 2020 to break the previous world record of 11:39 by over a minute.

Chris ran a 4:38.7 beer mile on June 25, 2020 to break his previous American record (4:45) by 7 seconds and win his 2nd beer mile world title in the 2020 Beer Mile World Classic.
